Getting on the road safely every day with proper tire pressure is easier than ever thanks to a TPMS system. If you’re looking for an extra set or new sensors, you’ve come to the right place.

What are TPMS sensors?

TPMS stands for Tire Pressure Monitoring System, a technology that continuously monitors your car’s tire pressure. TPMS sensors, mounted in your tires or on your wheels, measure the air pressure and sometimes the temperature in each tire. This information is sent wirelessly to a display in your car, so you are always aware of the status of your tire pressure. It is a smart system that provides real-time monitoring, informing you immediately if there is a problem, such as a flat tire or a significant drop in tire pressure.

The importance of TPMS sensors

Having TPMS sensors in your car is important for your safety. Correct tire pressure ensures the stability, grip and efficiency of your car. TPMS sensors allow you to detect potential problems early, which helps prevent tire failures or even accidents caused by bad tires. In addition, these sensors help optimize your fuel economy and ensure even wear on your tires, which extends the life of your tires. It’s an investment that more than pays for itself over the years.

TPMS sensors for trucks

For trucks and commercial vehicles, TPMS sensors are invaluable. Given the heavy loads and long distances trucks travel, proper tire pressure is indispensable. At our plant, we also stock TPMS sensors for trucks. You can contact us for both installing a new sensor and replacing the original sensors. Make an appointment and stop by for a smooth installation.

TPMS system: a smart choice

By continuously monitoring tire pressure, the TPMS system helps you be proactive in maintenance, reducing your risk of tire-related problems. Correct tire pressure has been proven to improve your car’s handling and braking performance. In addition, a tire pressure monitor is mandatory in the EU since 2014. All cars after 2014 have as basic equipment a TPMS sensor, or the vehicle checks through the ABS system if there is a problem with your tires, in this case there are no TPMS sensors in your wheels and so you are not obliged to install them. The system that works through the ABS is mainly used by the VAG group (Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda).

TIP: Do you have two sets of wheels whose standard wheels are equipped with a TPMS system? Then be sure to equip your other wheels with TPMS sensors as well. If you don’t, then your car’s sport mode will no longer be available.

Benefits of a TPMS system

Installing a TPMS system offers numerous benefits that contribute to the safety of your vehicle. Namely, it reduces the risk of tire failure thanks to real-time updates on your tire pressure. In addition, a TPMS system also helps improve fuel efficiency. Correctly inflated tires reduce rolling resistance, which leads to lower fuel consumption. This system also helps extend the life of your tires by preventing uneven wear.

The importance of proper tire pressure

Proper tire pressure ensures excellent performance and safety of your vehicle. It ensures optimum grip and stability during driving, braking and cornering. Proper tire pressure also helps absorb the impact of road shocks, making for a more comfortable driving experience for both you and your passengers. The exact tire pressure your tires need is monitored by the TPMS and when they are over or under inflated you get a notification on your dashboard.

Consequences of improper tire pressure

Driving with underinflated tires can have major consequences. It increases the risk of tire failure, such as a blowout, especially at high speeds or on hot days. Low tire pressure also leads to increased rolling resistance, higher consumption, emissions and tire wear. So regularly checking your tire pressure or investing in a TPMS system is essential for the safety and efficiency of your vehicle.

Different TPMS systems

TPMS systems come in different types. In general, there are two main types: an indirect TPMS system and direct TPMS system. Indirect TPMS systems use your car’s ABS sensors to detect differences in tire pressure. They do this by monitoring the rotations of each wheel. If one of your tires has low tire pressure, the diameter will get smaller and the rotations will get faster. An indirect system notices this and issues a notification. Direct TPMS, on the other hand, has sensors in each tire that transmit precise readings of both pressure and temperature. They are very accurate and provide real-time data. We offer only the direct TPMS system. That way, you will always enjoy proper tire pressure and a safe ride.

Lifespan of our tire pressure sensors

The lifetime of our TPMS sensors is between 6 to 7 years. This is because they depend on the built-in battery. The battery in the sensor is the limiting factor. Once it runs out, the entire sensor must be replaced. If you would like to receive more information about our TPMS sensors, please do not hesitate to contact our team for more information. We will be happy to help you get started.
